Now You Can Ride A Model 3 Tesla Taxi In Dubai

If you’re looking for a luxurious yet eco-friendly way to get around Dubai, you may soon be able to hail a Tesla taxi. Arabia Taxi has recently signed an exclusive agreement to add 269 Model 3 Teslas to the Dubai taxi fleet by April 2023. These electric vehicles will be available at normal taxi rates, offering a sustainable and convenient transportation option for locals and tourists alike.

This move is part of the Roads and Transport Authority’s (RTA) strategy to convert all taxis in Dubai into environment-friendly vehicles by 2027. Last year, the RTA had introduced Tesla Model 3 to the Dubai Taxi Corporation’s fleet on a trial basis, and this new partnership with Arabia Taxi represents a significant expansion of the program. The initiative has already seen success, as 83% of Arabia Taxi’s current Dubai fleet is operating with environment-friendly hybrid engine technology.

According to Sheikh Majid bin Hamad Al Qasimi, chairman of the Board of Directors of the Economic Group, the company is working on a strategic plan to convert all remaining vehicles into fully electric cars, with the possibility of using hydrogen-powered vehicles in the future. By expanding its cooperation with Tesla and other electric car manufacturers, Arabia Taxi aims to offer its clients diversified, sustainable, and environmentally friendly transportation options.

This move towards sustainable transportation not only benefits the environment but also helps promote the Dubai government’s initiative to introduce green vehicles for a cleaner future. With Tesla’s sleek design and impressive performance, passengers can enjoy a comfortable and stylish ride while also reducing their carbon footprint. With this exclusive agreement, Arabia Taxi is leading the way toward a greener and more sustainable transportation industry in Dubai.
